Mercer Island, WA

Significant native vegetation and an existing stream provided special opportunities for this waterfront location. Over 200 tons of native granite was hand selected and placed to create a natural stream feature. The entry gate and drive were located to avoid existing trees and provide a sequential experience through the forest. A generous parking court leads to a courtyard and main entry. Rear terraces cascade to the lawn and waterfront beyond. This project was completed while associated with The Berger Partnership.
